Introducing Astro + their Avatar!

Hi, I'm Astro (or Bells)! I'm 37-years-old, and I use they/them pronouns. I'm taken by the lovely Minty, my fiancée. I have been obsessed with space and the deep sea for my entire life, so it should come as no surprised that my website is themed after one or the other. I have been a part of fandom for nearly as long as I can remember — since I was a preteen. (Okay, so I don't remember a lot about my childhood. I can't help that!). My childhood friend, Jessey, introduced me to gaming, anime and manga, and fandom as a whole. One of my first fandoms was Final Fantasy VIII and Kingdom Hearts.

Fandom changed my life. No, I mean that literally. It changed the course of my life, and shaped my interests and my hobbies. It even gave me a fiancée! I met Minty via Homestuck through a Discord server we both inhabited at the time. We met, clicked, and have been together ever since. I don't know where I'd be right now without fandom. It's fundamental to me and who I am as a person. Everything just kind of fit together like a puzzle piece for me once I clung onto fandom and met Minty. While my life is hardly perfect, it's definitely on an upward trajectory right now, and I'm so grateful for that!
